Show Burial Grounds In Local Area Will Be visited Basin Post No. 64, The Ameri ican Legion of Roosevelt, will carry out their anunal Memorial Day program at the various cemeteries cem-eteries in this . area, where they will hold appropriate services honoring hon-oring veterans who have answered answer-ed the final earthly call. According to James Milligan, commander, the local post will meet first at the Hayden cemetery next Monday, May 30, at 9 a.m. Following their ceremonies at Hayden Hay-den they will move to the Neola cemetery at 10 o'clock, and at 11 a.m. they will be at Roosevelt cemetery. Services will be under the direction di-rection of Commander Milligan, with the color guard and firing squad being featured. Ken Lab-rum Lab-rum will be commanding the firing fir-ing squad. At each cemetery 21 rounds of shots will be fired by the firing squad. The Ladies Auxiliary Aux-iliary will place poppy wreaths on each veteran's grave. At present there are 48 veterans' veter-ans' graves at Roosevelt, 2 at Neola and 4 in the Hayden burial plot. The public is invited to join them in their programs. |
