Show ELUt Mrs. Garda Seeley Former Resident Dies Of Illness Mrs. Mabel Allred received word of the death of her brother, Oren J. Anderson, age 58, miner and carpenter. He died at his home, E-50 Verland Park, Friday at 1:45 a.m. after a 10 weeks illness. ill-ness. Born June 26, 1896 in Price, to Joseph and Florence Snow Anderson, Ander-son, he made his home here in Bluebell with his parents for several sev-eral years. He also resided at Price, Park City and Layton. He married Tessie Murdock, who died in 1922. Married Marie Npakes, July 3, 1924 at Park City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Tempel. Survivors include his widow, of Layton; two sons, four daughter: Mrs. Nina DeJongbe, Denver; Mrs. Tessie Powers, Ogden; David, U. S. Army, Kentucky; Maurine, Ray Dean and Rita Fawn, Layton; eight grandchildren; one brother and seven sisters. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Layton, with burial in the Park City Cemetery. Cem-etery. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Atwood were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Miles of Mt. Emmons, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Mitchell of Upal-co Upal-co and Mr. and Mrs. Marian Lott of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. John Cook, of Ballard, visited on Sunday afternoon after-noon with Mr. and Mrs. John Goodrich. Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Lisonbee, of Salt Lake City, are here visiting visit-ing with relatives and taking care of business. They have sold their home to D. Durphy. The Durphys are here and their two children have started to school. Mrs. Nellie Thomas was honored hon-ored at a pink and blue shower on Monday afternoon. The following follow-ing ladies gathered at the church house where they spent the afternoon after-noon visiting and playing games: Mrs. Belle Bird, Mrs. Merle Lisonbee, Lis-onbee, Mrs. Jennie Goodrich, Mrs. Garda Seeley, Mrs. Zella Goodrich, Good-rich, Mrs. Sylvia Goodrich, Mrs. Loretta Murray, Mrs. Mina Goodrich, Good-rich, Mrs. Vivian Powell, Mrs. Lucy Timothy, Mrs. Agnes Larsen, Lar-sen, Mrs. Laura Seeley, Mrs. Lu-, cille Whitehead, Mrs. Geniel Reay, Mrs. Velma Monson, Mrs. Verona Winkler and Mrs. Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Lisonbee and Mary Lee spent Saturday and Sunday in Salt Lake City. FIRESIDE CHAT A Fireside Chat was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Gard-ner Goodrich on Sunday evening. Rondo Harmon was the guest speaker. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Remington, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. O. Larsen, Bishop James Bird, Mrs. Lois Goodrich, Mrs. Garda Seeley, Marilyn Jennings, Jen-nings, Janet Seeley, -Dal Seeley, Kent Remington, Bob Goodrich, Jay Goodrich, Garth Remington, Daphine Lisonbee, Ralph Goodrich, Good-rich, Phil Remington, Colleen Roberts, Rob-erts, Shana Lee Winkler, Carolyn Goodrich, Beth Duke and Lucille Winkler and Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Gard-ner Goodrich. Refreshments were served. Mrs. Wally Nielson and daughter, daugh-ter, Jolene, visited on Sunday here with their daughter and sister, Mrs. Jimmy Bird and with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Lambert returned re-turned home on Friday, following a six day trip up into Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Orland Murray and son, George, spent a few days in Salt Lake City. |
