Show Notice Of Timber Sale Oral bids will be received by the Forest Supervisor at his office, of-fice, Room 201, Post Office Building, Build-ing, Vernal, Utah, on May 31, 1955, for all live timber marked or designated for cutting and. all merchantable dead timber located on an area of approximately 105 acres within Sections 19 and 30, T. 1 N., R. 2 0 E., S.L.M., in the head of a drainage known as Cow Hollow, in the Ashley Creek Compartment Com-partment of the Vernal Working Circle, Ashley National Forest, Utah, estimated to be 89 M ft., board measure of Engleman spruce, and 815 M ft., board measure mea-sure of Lodgepole pine sawtimber. Bidding will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will be kept open as long as may be necessary in the judgment of the Forest Supervisor to give all interested parties an opportunity opportun-ity to bid. Each bidder must have in his possession a certified check, money order, or equivalent, payable pay-able to the Forest Service, USDA, in the amount of $500.00, as deposit de-posit with bid to be surrendered and applied on, the purchase price if his bid is accepted. Each bidder who has not previously operated on the Ashley National Forest must, prior to bidding, furnish a financial .statement showing possession pos-session or availability of logging equipment, cash or other unencumbered unen-cumbered assets sufficient in the judgment of the awarding officer to carry out the terms of the timber tim-ber sale agreement. Sealed bids may be submitted in advance, accompanied ac-companied by the required deposit with bid. Sealed bids will be opened and posted prior to the' time oral bids are received. No bid of less than $4.05 per M feet, board measure for sawtimber of all species will be considered. In addition to making payments for stumpage, the . purchaser will be required to make an additional deposit de-posit of $.20 per M feet, b.m. for the total cut of sawtimber to be deposited into a cooperative work fund to pay the cost of slash disposal work, and $.70 per M feet, b.m. for the total cut of - sawtimber, to be deposited into a cooperative work fund to pay the cost of timber stand improvement improve-ment work. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved. Before Be-fore bids are submitted, full information in-formation concerning the timber, the conditions of sale, and submis-mision submis-mision of bids and financial statement state-ment should be obtained from the Forest Supervisor, Vernal, Utah, or the District Ranger, Vernal, Utah.
