Show Relief Society Has Annual Party The Relief Society members held their annual Christmas party par-ty on Tuesday, Dec. 22. Mrs. Elton Kettle had charge of the games. Popcorn balls and homemade home-made candy were served. Each lady brought some article to be used in the Relief Society room. There was a large crowd out and all had a good time. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell McMul-lin, McMul-lin, of Roosevelt, attended the Christmas program on Sunday. Mrs. Don Simmons and son, of Tridell. visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Parrish, on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. John H. Clark went to Vernal last Friday to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Williams. Bishop and Mrs. Golden Collins Col-lins and Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Johnson left Christmas morning on a trip to California, where they will enjoy a ten day visit. Joseph Larsen, of Carbon, an uncle of Mr. Johnson, accompanied accom-panied them. The Johnson children chil-dren will be cared for by Mrs. Zina Pearce at her home in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, of Measer, were callers in Alterra on Tuesday. Gwen Neilson has graduated from Primary and will now be a member of the M.I.A. Stephen Eldredge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Eldredge, who is with the armed forces and is stationed at Seattle, Wash., is spending the holidays with home folks. Bishop and Mrs. Golden Collins Col-lins and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Scholes, of Roosevelt, and Mr. Scholes' mother from Salt Lake City, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts on Wednesday to visit their mother, Mrs. Mary Collins, whose birthday birth-day it was that day. Miss Carolyn Ross and Carla Stanley were among the Seminary Sem-inary students who participated in a program at Tridell Sunday evening. . The Primary officers and teachers entertained all Primary girls and boys at a Christmas party on Tuesday. Dancing and games were enjoyed, and then refreshments were served. A Christmas thought was carried car-ried out in Sacrament meeting, Sunday evening, Dec. 20. Talks were given by Patsy Gines and Rollin Buchanan, of Roosevelt, and Orlan Cook. DeAnne Asay and Carolyn Ross sang a duet. Mrs. Leo Walker, from La-point, La-point, who is unit manager in the Alterra school kitchen, left last week with her husband and two daughters for Florida, where they planned on spending spend-ing Christmas with a daughter, who lives there, and their son, Keith, who has employment there. |
