Show A Xmas Scare ' A near tragedy was averted last week when a short in the electric wiring of the Christmas decorations at the Clair MiUs home resulted in a small fire. Damage was confined to bedding I and the veneer finish on the furniture. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Harrison spent the weekend visiting relatives rel-atives in Price and Fairview. . John Horrocks underwent an operation m the Holy Cross hospital hos-pital last week. He is recovering recover-ing as rapidly as can be expected. expect-ed. His son, Royal Horrocks, and daughter, Francis Bowen, accompanied him to Salt Lake City. The Neola ward Aaronic Priesthood held a roller skating party and weiner roast at the Vella Monday evening. Twenty-six Twenty-six boys, their advisers and the bishopric participated in the social event. Attending a square dancing party in Vernal last Friday eve ning were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Pet-son Pet-son and Mr. and Mrs. Elden Duncan. CARS COLLIDE What began as a holiday pleasure plea-sure trip to visit his children, who live in Salt Lake City, took a turn for the tragic side, when the car of Ira A. Pace collided with an east-bound auto between here and his destination. No serious ser-ious injuries were inflicted, and Mr. Pace was able to continue his trip as planned. i |
