Show MATILDA K. D. WAHLQUIST BALLARD Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Ballard ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for Mrs. Matilda, K. Dahl Walquist, 71, who died in Idaho Falls, Saturday, Dec. 26, of a heart ailment. Bishop Golden Collins was in charge of the services. A long-time resident of Ballard, Bal-lard, Mrs. Wahlquist had been visiting her son in Idaho Falls for the past few months. She was born in Stockholm, Sweden, a daughter of Frans Gustave and Johanna Peterson Dahl. An active member of the L.D.S. church, she was married to Andrew An-drew J. Wahlquist Dec. 15, 1910. He died Sept. 23, 1943. He was a member of the L.D.S. church. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Andrew Glenn, Iran; Brent L., Idaho Falls; Clyde R. Vernal; I Carl M., Pocatello; Mrs. Anna Proctor,- Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lilly Hansen, Idaho Falls; 17, grandchildren; 12 great-grand-! children; a sister in Sweden. Burial was in the Roosevelt I Cemetery under the direction! of the Olpin Mortuary of Roose-1 velt. I ) MARGARET F. C. M. VAN LAPOINT Funeral services were held in the Lapoint ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Saturday at 1 p.m. for Mrs. Margaret Francis Cora Murray Van, 77, who died in the Vernal hospital Dec. 23, following an illness. , Bishop Jerry Harrison, of the j Lapoint ward, was in charge of the services. I Born July 17, 1876 in Span-I Span-I ish Fork, she was the daughter 1 of John Rachel Allred Murray. I She married Phil Van Dec. 15, 1892 in Vernal. Shortly after her marriage she and her husband hus-band moved to the Lapoint area where they operated a farm and raised a large family. She was a member of the L.D.S. church. Speakers at the services were Bishop Harrison, Albert Harris and the Rev. Joseph Hogben. A musical program consisted of a chorus from the Lapoint ward; vocal silo, Mrs. Lorena Iorg, and a duet by Mr. and Mrs. Rex Taylor. Prayers were offered by Archie McConkie and Elbert Smith. Burial was in the Tridell Cemetery Cem-etery under the direction of the Dillman Mortuary of Roosevelt She is survived by the following follow-ing eight sons and daughters: Mrs. Clara Rochel, Altonah; Mrs. Sarah Hackford, Mrs. Lillian Lil-lian Young, Lapoint; Mrs. Fon-tella Fon-tella Hackford, Phillip Van, Ft. Duchesne; Wyona Van, Helper; Edmund, Alonzo Van, Lapoint; 60 grandchildren; 84 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren; one brother. |
