Show Wedding Vows Recited By Popular Couple One of the loveliest weddings of the Christmas . season was that of Miss Elaine McKenna, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Gil-bert McKenna of Roosevelt, and Aral Wesley Allred, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wqsley Allred, of Neola. i The marriage took place Sat-' urday, Dec. 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the residence of Bishop and Mrs. R. V. Larson, with Bishop Larson Lar-son performing the ceremony. The couple stood before the mantle bedecked with arbor-vitae, arbor-vitae, red candles and red and silver ornaments. Approximately Approximate-ly forty-five guests were present. pres-ent. For her wedding the attractive attrac-tive bride chose a two-piece egg shell knit suit, with cocoa brown ! yoke and sandles in the same shade. Her corsage was of pink and white carnations. Bridesmaids were Miss Shirley Shir-ley Cloward, who wore a champagne cham-pagne knit, and Melba Benson, who chose a biege knit suit. Both had pink and white carnation carna-tion corsages. Performing best man duties was DeLoy Duncan, of Neola. Mother of the bride wo;e a two-piece navy blue and white wool and orlon afternoon dress, while the groom's mother chose a navy blue print. Their corsages cor-sages were of pink - and white carnations. A reception honoring the newlyweds was held that evening eve-ning at the McKenna home, where approximately seventy-five seventy-five guests called to offer congratulations con-gratulations to the newlywtds. Mrs. Louisa Campbell was in charge of the serving, assisted by LaJean McKenna, Phyllis Yergensen and Shirley Miles. The gift room was under the direction of Mona and Beth All-red. All-red. The young couple left Sunday for Farmington, New Mexico, where they will make their home for the present. For her going-away outfit the new Mrs. Allred chose a two-piece black knit suit with white trim. |
