Show Mrs. Ethel Beebe Relief Society Has Xmas Party A Christmas party was given in Relief Society Tuesday. The; following program was given: piano solo, "Christmas Cradle Song," by Mrs. Marion Reese; story, "Conspiracy," by Mrs. Margaret Maxfield; piano solo, "Falling Waters," by Mrs. Lucy Jacobson. A delicious pot-luck lunch was served to eight ladies. lad-ies. Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Searle, of Ogden, spent the Christmas holidays with Mrs. Searle's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Bee-be Bee-be . Mrs. Hardy Perkins was iaK-en iaK-en to the Roosevelt Hospital, Tuesday for medical attention. Mrs. Elva Snyder went to Duchesne Thursday morning to see her brand new granddaughter, granddaugh-ter, which was born December 24th to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Potts, of Duchesne. The Potts have two other daughters. Mrs. Mary Bowden and son, Louie, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden and family, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burgess and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Case all were Christmas Christ-mas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bowden, of Independence Inde-pendence on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen spent Christmas day with relatives in Price, returning home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark received re-ceived word of the birth of two new grandchildren, born recently A son was born Dec. 3rd to Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Thompson, of Heber, and a daughter, Dec. 17th to Mr. and Mrs. Delmore Ivie, of Strawberry. Straw-berry. Clyde Worthin, of Ferron; Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Oliver and Mr. Oliver's mother, Mrs. Iva Draper, of Price, visited Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen during the week Mr. and Mrs. Linford Max-field Max-field made a trip to Salt Lake City last weekend. Mrs. Minnie Maxfield went that far with them, then went on to Oregon to spend the holidays with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Besst. Perry Maxfield is spending the Christmas holidays at the home of Claude Wrathall in Aurora, New York. Perry and Claud are students at the BYU. Jerry Carroll, a student at the BYU, arrived home Friday to spend the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll. Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll made a shopping trip to Salt Lake City, Friday. A program was given in Sunday Sun-day School and Sacrament meeting, Sunday, under the direction di-rection of Coralie Maxfield and Bonnie Ames. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden made a business trip to Vernal, Monday. j Pfc. Dale Carroll arrived home Friday to spend the holidays holi-days with his mother, Mrs. Mary Carroll and brothers. Dale is stationed at Ft. Lewis, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Ty Kolb went to Fresno Calif, to spend the Christmas holidays with Mrs. Kolb's folks. Mrs. Clarence Jones, Dick Miller and Iona Dunsmore visited vis-ited in Lapoint with Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anderson one day last week.. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ralphs left Tuesday for Lehi to spend the Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Powell and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones spent the weekend visiting Mr. Jones, mother, Mrs Minnie Lewis, in Park City. Earl Duns-more Duns-more took Mr. Jones' place, working on the dam in his absence. ab-sence. The Altonah ward Primary and Mutual sponsored a Christmas Christ-mas program and a one-act play, "A Christmas for Amie," Tuesday night, Dec. 22. The program pro-gram was given by the Primary children and the players in the play were Mrs. Marian Reese, Mrs. Alora Kolb, Sharrel Ames, Alta Ames. Coralie Maxfield' and Bob Allred. ' Ted W. Young, of the U.S.S. Boxer, arrived home Dec. 16; A3c Duane M. Young, of Parks Air Base, Calif., arrived Dec. 16, and Sharlene Young came from school in Salt Lake City to spend Christmas with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dump and sister Marilyn. DEATH REPORTED Mrs. Albert Rochel received word of the death of her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Margaret Van, in the Vernal Hospital, Dec. 23. The Altonah ward wishes to express deepest sympathy to them at this time. |
