Show WHITEROCKS Madeena Smith Indian Relief Society Has Party The Indian Relief Soriety held their Christmas party on Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. A program and lunch were enjoyed and gifts exchanged. Those present were Lula Che-cora, Che-cora, Edith Yannie and Dorothy Mountainlion. Mrs. Violet Cutch and Midgeon Harvey were special spe-cial guests. CANDY PARTY The Junior M Men and Gleaner Glean-er classes met at the home of Mildred Moosman on Monday evening for a candy making party. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Murray had the pleasure of having all their boys home for Christmas. Jay and family, from Colorado, Howard from Ohio, and Dallas from Logan. Mrs Selma Chris.tensen received re-ceived word that her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Margaret Van, died Wednesday morning. A party was held in the, ward Relief Society on Tuesday afternoon. The ladies brought1 presents to make a Christmas package for a neeny lamny. ui chocolate and cake were served The Primary officers gave the children a Christmas party last week. Santa Claus came and gave the children a sack of candy. , , Mrs. Nora Chnstensen and son, Gary, won the gas stove, given away by the Searle's Saving Sav-ing Center at Vernal. The Co. was over and installed the stove and- gas tank on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Brough, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Merkley attended at-tended the Christmas party held for the Indians at Fort Duchesne Du-chesne on Wednesday. Mrs. "Merkley and Mrs. Brough were in charge of several numbers i of the program. I Mrs. Edith Yennie and chil-i dren went to Salt Lake City to spend the holiday week with her husband, who has employ ment there. Mr and Mrs. Phillip Lopez, of Whiterocks, are spending this week visiting in Wyoming. Bishop and Mrs. Ellingford are the proud parents of a baby boy, born Saturday, Dec. 26th at the Roosevelt Hospital. Mother Moth-er and baby are doing fine. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Killian. of Roosevelt, were visiting at the Marinus Christensen home Sunday Sun-day afternoon. Speakers at meeting Sunday were Mrs. Esther Merkley, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Preece. (The Preeces are new missionaries here), Mrs. Clyde Merkley and Mrs. Madena Smith sang a song. - . Miss Betty Moosman went to Tooele to' spend Christmas with her sister, Mrs. Lela Anderton. She went with Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Anderton, of Tridell, who spent Christmas with Mr. An-derton's An-derton's parents at Tooele. |
