The new ditch cuts through a low saddle back away from the Strawberry, should require less maintenance and is free of possible flood damage. Douglas Bryant, of Independence Indepen-dence has awarded a contract for the construction of 1740 lineal lin-eal feet of streambank protection protec-tion revetment to Albert Shepherd Shep-herd and Erie Hatch, of Ballard. This revetment will be cable and old car bodies tied to the bank with log deadmen. Work has started and will be complete com-plete within a week or ten days, Mr. Hatch said.
