HAYLE BUCHANAN, the former Miss Melya Taylor, whose marriage took place Thursday, April 9, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Apostle Spencer W. Kimball officiated. Marriage Riles Performed En Temple Ceremony Solemn marriage rites were performed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Thursday, April 9, for Miss Melva Taylor and Hale Buchanan, with Apostle Spencer W. Kimball' officiating in the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer J. Taylor, of Salt Lake City, and the bridegroom bride-groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George F. Buchanan, of Roosevelt. The newlyweds were honored at a reception the same evening eve-ning at the Memorial Housa, Memory Park, with approximately approxi-mately 300 guests attending. The bride's gown was of the traditional white satin, entrain, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and long pointed sleeves fastened with tiny white satin covered buttons. Her veil of imported French lace complimented com-plimented her gown and she carried a bouquet of red roses encircling a gardenia and rose corsage. Ballerina gowns of taffeta in soft spring shades were worn by the attendants, Miss Char-lene Char-lene Armstrong, Mrs. Clifford Sadler, Mrs. Joseph Cummlngs and Mrs. Robert Anderson. Best man duties were performed per-formed by Ruel Allred, and ushers included Rollin and Ber-nell Ber-nell Buchanan, Max Wilson and Richard Taylor. Mrs. Taylor received guests at the reception in a rose beige crepe dress and the groom's mother wore a blue crepe. Both had baby orchid corsages. Centering the reception table was a three-tiered wedding cake topped with red roses. White tapers in silver holders completed complet-ed the arrangement. The young couple enjoyed a honeymoon trip to the Manti and St. George Temples and will reside "in Provo while Mr. Buchanan Bu-chanan studies for a master's degree at the Brigham Young University. For her going-away outfit the new Mrs. Buchanan chose a grey tailored suit and white accessories. 1 : |
