Show Mrs. Ellen Bracken MIA Presents Talent Show A Talent Show was held under un-der the direction of the M.I.A. officers, Tuesday evening, April 7th. Prizes were given to all who took part. Dancing was enjoyed under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Evans. Two skits were given during the dance one by Bernard Larson, Ercil Johnson, John-son, Vaughn Simper and Myrle Gines, and the second was by Max Todd. John A. Gardner made a trip to Salt Lake City and visited an eye specialist on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Robinson and baby, of Salt Lake City, were visitors last week at the Marvin Tippett and Floyd Ener-son Ener-son homes. Mrs. Evelyn Brighton presented present-ed the theology lesson in Relief Society on Tuesday, after which a testimony meeting was held. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bartlett, of Provo, have been recent visitors vis-itors at the home of Mrs. Bart-lett's Bart-lett's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ray-mond Eldredge. INJURES FINGER Jeananne White, small daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Alden White, injured one of her fingers fin-gers in the car door last Sunday. She was taken to a doctor to have her finger dressed because of the injury. Mr. and Mrs. Neldo Lemon and family, of Magna, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Squire several days last week. Beverly Squire accompanied accompan-ied them back, on her way to Ogden. Russell Todd made a trip to Salt Lake City last Thursday with the school board members from Uintah county. The baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gardner was in the Roosevelt hospital several days last week receiving medical medi-cal care. Mrs. Gardner remained remain-ed at the hospital with the baby. Monthly Primary Preparation meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Elton Kettle, April 8, with fifteen of the sixteen officers offi-cers and teachers in attendance. Preparation lesson was given by Virgia Page; Book of Mormon Mor-mon lesson, by Velma Frandsen. Testimonies followed. Mrs. Kettle Ket-tle was assisted by Mrs. Norma Johnson and served fruit jello, wafers and punch. Word has been received that Ralph Belts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Betts, who has been on overseas duty for quite some time, is on his way to the States. Ralph expects his honorable hon-orable discharge from service in May. Mrs. Lynn Ross and baby, of Los Angeles, Calif., arrived this past week to visit at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hatch. Mr. and Mrs. Shepherd, who have been living at Independence, Indepen-dence, have moved into the A. W. Seeley home. Mr. Shepherd is employed now on the farm run by Earl Hatch. Mrs. Calvin Squire went to Salt Lake City on Monday, where she spent the week. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bingham Bing-ham and family, of Herriman; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Snyder and family, of Altonah, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Brighton and son were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham on Sunday afternoon. |
