Show LeetonBeimetl Mrs. Fern Houston Ward Parties Please Children The Christmas party arranged by the organizations of the ward was given Wednesday evening, Dec. 24. The Christmas tree and Santa Claus delighted the chil dren. A program was given. and the usual Christmas treat of candy and good things to eat was passed out. Home - for the holidays are Verle Haslem and Douglas Phillips, Phil-lips, who are attending U of IT. The Relief Society gave a Christmas party Tuesday instead in-stead of holding the regular lesson session. Members exchanged ex-changed gifts and played games. Candy and nuts were served. Mrs. Rhea Lewis, of Provo. is very much improved and her mother, Mrs. Rebecca Haslem has returned home, after spending spend-ing a couple of weeks with her. Mr. and Mrs. Gerold Bolton visited in Vernal Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Haslem, of Blanding, are spending the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. John Haslem and family. Lynn was a speaker in church Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Parnell enjoyed en-joyed the Christmas party given by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wilkins and Mr. and Mrs. Vean Bair, at. Roosevelt. . Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Houston left for San Diego, Friday,, to visit with their daughter "and family They 'are taking with them Theda Houston, of Whits-rocks, Whits-rocks, and RaNae Houston, of Provo, granddaughters of Mr. and Mrs. Houston. , Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Coltharp entertained . at dinner recently for Mr. and Mrs. Dick Coltharp and Mr. and Mrs. George Houston Hous-ton and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nichols, of Rangely, Colorado. Mrs. Helen Caldwell, of Ver- 1 nal, is working at the Modern j Drug Store, to replace Lorna Parnell, who has resigned. . j . i |
