Show Mrs. Elhel Beebe Relief Society Has Christmas Party ' The Relief Society gave a Christmas party, Dec. 23. Th time was spent in visiting and a delicious pot-luck lunch was served, and Mrs. Mary Powell read a Christmas poem. Present were Mrs. Arda Ames, Mrs. Marian Reese, Mrs. Mary Powell, Mrs. Ha Ames. Mrs. Lawana Timothy, Mrs. Vel-da Vel-da Burgess, Mrs. Mary Carroll. Mrs. Louise Case, Mrs. Marian Monson and Mrs. Ethel Beebe. Cpl. Delar Maxfield arrived Saturday, Dec. 20, to spend Christmas with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Linford Maxfield. and other relatives'. Delar is sta tioned at the Marine Air Base at El Toro, California. He returned Dec. 27. The ones from Altonah at tending the Stake MIA leadership leader-ship meeting' in Bluebell Frid?y night were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Maxfield, Mrs. Marian Reese, Mr. and Mrs. Ty Kolb. Mrs. Mary Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. Linford Lin-ford Maxfield, Ola Maxfield a.id Mr. and Mrs. Glade Timothy. The Altonah Ward Rave a Christmas program in Sunday School. . Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Allred were in Vernal on busineis Saturday. Sat-urday. A large crowd of youn? folks attended the Senior Hop at Altr.-mont Altr.-mont Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ralphs left Monday to spend the Christmas Christ-mas holidays with their daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Powell, of Lehi. Ted Young, ,SN, serving in the U. S. Navy, arrived home Saturday night for a 25-day furlough. fur-lough. Ted attended school at San Diego, California for four weeks, but is now stationed at San Francisco, California on the U.S.S. Boxer. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Young, of Gusher, visited at the home of Mrs. Louise Case Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lindsey and family, of Mtn. Home, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ralphs on Monday of last week. I Mrs. Minnie Reay, of Canada, arrived Thursday to spend Christmas and the remainder oi the winter with her daughter, Mrs. Lee Jessen, and her son, Dean Reay, and another son, Tuff Reay, who lives in Myton. Gerald Jacobson took a load of cattle to the Ogden market Sunday. A large crowd from Altonah attended the Christmas program and pageant "Children of the Inn," at Altamont High School on Dec. 22. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Ames. Leo Ames and Shirley Iorg, of Upalco, spent Christmas day with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Writhin and family, in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anderson, Ander-son, daughter, Lela, and son, Virgil Miller visited at the homes of Mrs. Clarence Jones, Mrs. Mary Carroll and George Carroll and families. VirRil is home on leave from the Navy. A number of parents attended the Christmas program at the Elementary school at Altamont Tuesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Clark were in Vernal on business on Wednesday Of last week. The Altonah Ward gave a Christmas party for the children chil-dren on Dec. 22 in the wird hall. The Primary children tfave a pageant, "The story of Christ." Santa Clause was present and the young folks enjoyed dancing. danc-ing. Mr. and Mrs. Tuff Reay and daughters, of Myton. spent Christmas day in Altonah. Mr. and Mrs. Delar Ivie and daughters, of Strawberrie, and Bill Clark and Alta Jones, of Tabiona, were Christmas guests of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Call and family visited their daughters, Mrs. Dewey Jessen and Mrs. Reay Jessen and families on Wednesday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Snyder and family, of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Elva Snyder were guests on Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jacob-son. Jacob-son. Mrs. Vendetta Clark spent Christmas with her sons. Richard Rich-ard and Bob, and with her daughter, Mrs. Marian Berrett. and families, in Bluebell. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Allred and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Mitchell attended a square dance in Upalco Upal-co Tuesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Maxfield and family have moved into the Ed Davis house for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith and family, of Roosevelt, were guests of Mr. and Mrs Ed Olsen on Christmas.. Ted Snyder, of Salt Lake Citv. was home with his mother. Mrs. Elva Snyder and other relatives over the Christmas holidays. Pfc Ray Hvatt arrived homo December 17th Rey entered military mil-itary service Dec. 11, 1950 and received an honorable discharge Dec. 13, 1952. Rex has been stationed at Camp Louis Obispo, California.
