Show Viola Jensen Avalon School Gets New Furnace Albine Anderson, of the Uintah Uin-tah School District, is busy installing in-stalling a furnace in the Avalon School. Mr. and Mrs. John Young and son, Ervin, spent the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving week end visiting Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Colton and son, of Boise, Idaho. Mrs. Colton is the Young's daughter. Hollis G. Hullinger, president of the Roosevelt Stake, and James Bacon, president of the Ute Indian Mission, visited Primary Pri-mary Wednesday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Wall, Jr., are the parents of a baby boy. J. P. Stevens, of Salt' Lake City, spent the week end here taking care of some business matters. Relief Society meeting was held Tuesday at the home of Mrs. " Lula Dudley, as the furnace fur-nace at the chapel was out of order. Among the officers and teachers teach-ers who attended Primary union un-ion meeting at Roosevelt Saturday Sat-urday were Mrs. Merle Moore, Mrs. Jewell Wall, Mrs. Mildred Brough, Mrs. Alice Wall and Mrs. Viola Jensen. Mr.: and Mrs. William Chandler Chand-ler spent a few days in Salt Lake City last week. Elbert Chandler has been busy moving his family to Myton. The P T A meeting was held Thursday evening. A very fine program was presented by some of the students. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pickup entertained the four teachers Thursday evening prior to the Parent-Teacher meeting. The Primary preparation meeting was held Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Venice Durfee. Miss Melva Jor-genson Jor-genson and Mrs. Venice Durfee gave the lessons, after which the group practiced the songs to be sung at conference. Joseph R. McPhie, of Salt Lake City visited here Saturday. Stake High Councilman Albert Harris visited Sunday School and Sacrament meeting Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chandler Chand-ler had their baby blessed Sunday Sun-day and named Paulette Marie. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Brough had their baby named and blessed bless-ed Sandra Dee, and Bonnie Peay was confirmed a member of the L D S Church. Randlett Ward leadership meeting was held Sunday evening eve-ning at the chapel. A pink and blue shower was given recently at the home of Mrs. Duy Chandler to honor Mrs. Elva McKee. Mrs. Hazel Brough had charge of the games. Delicious refreshments were served, and Mrs. McKee received many lovely gifts. Mrs. Elizabeth Nebeker was brought home last week from the Roosevelt hospital, where she had been a patient for some time. She is being cared for at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Luella Brough. ' |
