Wedding Reception And Dance Honor Mr. And Mrs. Karl Johnstun Mr. and Mrs. Karl Johnstun, who were married in the Salt Lake L D S Temple on Wednesday, Wednes-day, November 7, were complimented compli-mented at a wedding reception and dance last Thursday evening, eve-ning, November 29, at the Roos-evelt Roos-evelt Stake House. Receiving the many guests who called were the bride and groom; Mr. and Mrs. Roland Kelsey, parents of the bride; Lynn Johnstun, the groom's father; Miss Mary Jane Kelsey, maid of honor; the Misses Edith Hardinger and Donna Todd, bridesmaids; Dick Owen, best man; and David Kelsey, brother of the bride. The bride's gown was of white slipper satin, designed with fitted bodice fastened down the front with tiny satin buttons. but-tons. The skirt was of white net over satin, enhanced by her white ballerina slippers. Her fingertip veil of white nylon marquisette cascaded from a Juliette cat of satin. She wore a rare Nerine Lily corsage of delicate pink. The attendants were attired in pastel-colored dresses and all had white carnation corsages. Mother of the bride wore a green crepe afternoon dress and had a corsage of pink carnations. carna-tions. Mrs. Joseph Shanks received guests at the door, and Mrs. Reva Owen was in charge of the guest book. The gift room was in charge of Mrs. Reed Hancock, Mrs. C. M. Rowley and Mrs. Hugh Murray, Mur-ray, with little Michael Kelsey receiving the gifts from the guests. Mrs. Rulon Anderton and Mrs. Max Owen supervised the kitchen and serving arrangements, arrange-ments, assisted by the Misses Betty Timothy, Rhea Sullivan and Shauna Gilbert. The reception table was coveted cov-eted with a rich lace cloth and centered with a beautiful pink and white three-tiered wedding cake, topped with the traditional tradition-al bride and groom. At either end were pink and white tapers in copper candelabra, and the wedding napkins were pink inscribed in-scribed in gold with "Karl and Beryl." Mr. and Mrs. John Gale and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Mortensen assisted with program arrangements, arrange-ments, with Mr. Gale as master of ceremonies. The following numbers were presented during the evening: vocal solos, Mrs. Garth Gardner, accompanied by Miss Ann Payne, and Miss Glenda Walker, accompanied by Miss Janice Anderton; piano solos, Miss Laura Ann Leavitt and Miss Payne; trumpet solos, Craig Hutchings, accompanied by Miss Joan Todd. Dance music for the guests was furnished by Smiths' or-i or-i chestra. |
