Show Another Boy Is Making Good Another one of "our boys" is making a record for himself at Wasatch Academy, Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, according to a letter received re-ceived by Mr. and Mrs. George Funk from Coach John A. Sours.. Their son, Howard Funk, was elected honorary football captain for the season just completed. Coach Sours wrote that 'Being 'Be-ing elected honorary captain for the just completed season indicates the confidence, respect and leadership that one merits entirely on his own. In no way is this a popularity contest, but rather goes to the one that displays dis-plays the qualities listed above The number of votes he received is the highest we have counted in a number of years." With athletes such as Howard and "Packy" to represent Myton, My-ton, we can feel certain that they will put their home town "on the map." Mr. and Mrs. John Uresk are rejoicing over the arrival of a son, born Thursday, Nov. 29, in Salt Lake City. This is the second sec-ond son in their family. Mr. and Mrs. George Funk, Mrs. LaVor Dennis and daughter, daugh-ter, Carolyn, enjoyed a shopping j trip in Salt Lake City from Friday until Sunday. Mr. .and Mrs. Don Felter came from Pasco, Washington, to attend to property interests here. They stopped at Tooele to get their daughter, Colleen, who has been employed there. She will accompany them on their return to' Pasco later this week. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Roberts Rob-erts left Sunday on a week's vacation trip to New Mexico. They will visit Mr. Roberts' brother, David Roberts, at Al-amongordo, Al-amongordo, N. M. David is on a mission for the L D S Church in the Southern States. Morris Buckwalter has been attending to property interests here. He left Monday for his home at LeGrand, Oregon. He spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hadden, who operate oper-ate the Buckwalter ranch east of town. N. L. Peterson, who has been ill for several months, was taken tak-en to Salt Lake City, Tuesday, by his son Evan Peterson, where he will receive medical attention. |
