Show Ballard . Ellen Bracken Mr. and Mrs. Ed Coston had Rev. Charles Ray, of Roosevelt, as their dinner guest on Sunday. The M.I.A. held its closing social Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Meldrum and two daughters, of Afton", Wyoming, left for their home Wednesday morning. They had been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shisler. Mr. and Mrs. John Watkins, of Vernal, visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Pearl Jenkins. Mr. and Mre. Fred Cook are building two rooms onto their home. George Bracken is doing the work. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle and small sons spent two days in Salt Lake last week. Angus Anderson and son, Le-Roy, Le-Roy, motored to Salt Lake and back, Friday. The monthly faculty meeting of the. Sunday School was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Buzz Larsen, Wednesday evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Lennis Rasmus-sen Rasmus-sen and .baby left Saturday for Oregon, where they plan to make their home. Glen Allred spent last weekend week-end in Salt Lake and Ogden4. He took several of the Alterra boys out for contest work. . Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Johnson, John-son, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Todd, Johnnie Cook and son, Orlan, and Mrs. Agnes Lubeniski attended at-tended the funeral services for Mr. Cook's sister-in-law, Mrs. Mark Cook, at Naples, Thursday. A P.T.A. meeting was held at the Alterra high school, Thurs: day night. The main discussion centered around the Union high I school. Supt. Lundel and Ruth Haslem were present from Vernal. Ver-nal. Ballard was very well represented rep-resented with about 51 in attendance. at-tendance. Ferris Winn and Mrs. Earl Gardner attended the funeral services for their uncle, John Winn, in Salt Lake last week. Their mother, Mrs. Effie Winn, who has spent the past month in Idaho, returned home with them. |
