Show Funerals HYRUM ELDRED WILSON Funeral services for Hyrum Eldred (Ted) Wilson, 38, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Wilson, who died Sunday at a Price hospital hos-pital from injuries suffered when he was struck by sliding rock, were conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. in the Roosevelt Ward chapel under the direction of Bishop Hollis Hullinger. Mr. Wilson who was employed as a jack hammer operator at Scofield, was injured on September Sep-tember 13. Born at Roosevelt, December 31, 1909. he was educated in the Roosevelt schools and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of .Latter-day Saints. During Dur-ing World War II he was attached at-tached to the Army medical corps and remained in service for three years. Besides his parents he is survived sur-vived by three brothers: Seth Wilson, Roosevelt; Isaac V. Wilson, Wil-son, Price; and Irl B. Wilson, Scofield; four sisters, Mrs. Nila B. Cunningham, Roosevelt: Mrs. Hazel McLaughlin, Berkeley, California; Mrs. Myrtle Bryce. Guatay, California, and Mrs. La Von Timothy, Layton. Burial was in the Roosevelt ccmetary under the direction of the Dillman Funeral Home. DELLA MITCHIE HORROCKS Funeral services for Delia Michie Mi-chie Horrocks, 76, wife of John J. Horrocks, who died at her home in Hayden, September 19 from a lingering illness, were conducted Thursday at 10:30 a. m. in the Neola LDS chapel with Bishop Lionel Jensen officiating. offi-ciating. , Born July 28, 1872 at Salt Lake City, a daughter of Robert and Frances Potts Michie. she was married to John James Horrocks, Hor-rocks, November 30, 1892 in the Logan LDS temple. With her husband she moved to the Uintah Basin and settled at Hayden some forty years ego. Until recent years she was engaged en-gaged as a mid-wife and practical nurse. Mrs. Horrocks was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having hav-ing been president of the Hayden Hay-den Relief Society for seven years and also as secretary of the Woodland ward Relief Society. So-ciety. She is survived by her husband; hus-band; two children. Royal J. Horrocks, Neola, and Mrs. Frances Fran-ces Bowen, Bennett, and the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters: Wm. Michie, Tabiona; Mrs. Alice Lambert, Roosevelt, and Mrs. Christy Bisel, Hayden. Eleven grandchildren and nine great- . . . ...... JLJLJJk.J1J.J.J....W,,rV grandchildren also survive her. Burial was in the Woodland cemetery under the direction of the Olpin mortuary, of Roosevelt. MICHAEL L. PEEL Graveside services for Michael L. Peel, infant son of W. Grant and Sybil Lusty Peel, of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, were conducted September Septem-ber 18 at the Duchesne cemetery under the direction of Bishop Marion Ross, of Arcadia. Survivors include the parents, the paternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. John II. Peel, Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, and the maternal grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. R, S, Lusty of Arcadia. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Olpin mortuary, of Roosevelt. |
