Show BASIN BRIEFS Mr. and Mrs. Marvell Neilson and Mr. and Mrs. "Bumps" El-dredge El-dredge left Monday on a week's fishing trip at Chain lakes in the high Uintas. A teen age dance will be held at 8 p. m. Friday, August 12, in the American Legion barracks, sponsored by Annette Green, Karl Murray, Gerrie Stinnett, and Lillian Nelson. A second dance is planned for August 19. Mr. and Mrs. N. R. Johnson, of Colton, California, are guests at the Les Mullins home. Also a guest is Mrs. Mullins sister, Mrs. Myrth Miller, of San Francisco. Ralph Jack, of Salt Lake City, visited Erma Eldredge last weekend. week-end. ' Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eldredge of Salt Lake visited over the weekend with their Darrnfq Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Dilman and Mr. and Mrs. J. Harold Eldredge. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Curtis and children, of Bingham, spent the weekend with Mrs. Curtis' sister sis-ter and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Freston. Bonnie and Beverly White. Jack Bacon and David Alexander Alexan-der attended a wedding dance in Garland last weekend. They were accompanied as far as Og-den Og-den by Tom White and Kenny. Persons from out of town who attended the services for Mrs. Elizabeth Snyder included Mrs Ann Cummings, Los An&eles; Mrs. Kate Snyder, Woods Cross: Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Ellingsford and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wild. Mrs. Gilla Mitchell, Mrs. Earl Johnson, Mrs. Addie Gil-more Gil-more and J. L. Giauques, Salt Lake Citv. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Redmond and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Burgess left Thursday morning to visit with relatives in Indiana. Father Joseph Hogben returned return-ed this week after spending a J month with relatives in New York. Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Evans, broadcaster for the Sunday morning LDS Temple Choir program, pro-gram, and their four sons, of Salt Lake City. Art Carey Bill Jackson and Jimmy Russ, Ft. Collins, Colo., have been vititing with the Bob Davises at the U-Bar U-Bar ranch in Uinta canyon. While here Art, Bill and Jimmy were dinner guests at the home of Mr. i and Mrs. Horace Allred. i Mrs. Donna Swain served the children of the Roosevelt Ward Primary decorated cup cakes in honor of the Primary's 71st birthday, birth-day, August 11. Seventy-one years ago on that date Aurelia Spencer Rogers started the first Primary in Salt Lake City. Allen Marsden, of Salt Lake, was a weekend guest at the home of Miss Norma Atwood. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mohlman are visiting at the home of Mrs. Mohlman's sister and brother-in-law Mr, and Mrs. Art Allen. Mr. Mohlman, who has been employed em-ployed at Elko, Nevada, is slated for a transfer and is awaiting his new assignment. Mrs. Paul Wilkins and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Johnson visited in Salt Lake during the week. Lowell Hall, who is working at Kamas, spent a few days during the week with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Heber T. Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Labrum, of Salt Lake, spent a few days last week with relatives here. Mrs. Leslie Ashton. of Vernal, is visiting with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Ashton. Charles Ray, pastor of the Roosevelt Baptist church returned return-ed August 3 from Henrietta, Texas, Tex-as, where he preached in a revival reviv-al meeting the last two weeks in July, at the Deer Creek Baptist church. Allan Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Smith, left July 21 to spend a week in Portland, j Oregon with his brother-in-law. Dr. Reed Oldroyd. D.r. Oldroyd returned with him to Roosevelt for a short visit, as did Audrey Smith, who Is attending school in Salt Lake City. Chall Allred. son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Allred, returned to Twin Falls( Sunday, after spend ing the past week with his parents, par-ents, j Guests at the Charlie Jenkins home this week are Mrs. Jenkins Jen-kins mother, Mrs. Anna McTn-tyre, McTn-tyre, and her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest E. Mortimer, and two daughters, all of Denver. As chairman of the familv organization, or-ganization, Lloyd Olsen and Elroy El-roy Halverson announce plans for a reunion of the decendants and familv members of Andrew N. Olsen, to be held August 20 and 21 at Mud Springs at the head of Indian canvon. The meeting will convene at noon Saturday and adjourn Sunday Sun-day evening. Each family is requested re-quested to bring camping equipment equip-ment and food for their own group. |
