JENSEN County Agent Duchesne county was represented repre-sented at the Ogden Junior Fat Stock Show by Eldon Win- terton with a fat steer in the ! FFA division, Max Patry with three fat steers in the 4-H di- ' vision, and John Wills with three 1 fat steers in the 4-H division. 1 Four of the seven animals 1 shown were graded choice and ranked high in their respective divisions. Especially noteworthy is. the fact that all of these animals an-imals except one were selected by the boys out of their father's herds. This indicates a high standard of quality. Max Patry also won 3rd place in the fitting and showing contest. A special feature of the show was a banquet for exhibitors at the Ben Lomond hojel on the first evening of the show. On the final day all stock were auc- tloned and brought good prices with the grand champion steer, exhibited by Jack Larsen of Spanish Fork, selling for 92 c a pound. The boys from this area were accompanied by their patents and the County Agent. |
