Show Farmers Co-op Holds Conclave Farmers and their families from all parts of the Uintah Basin Ba-sin gathered at the American Legion barracks in Roosevelt Thursday evening August 4, to hear Harvey R. Soberg. Denver president of the Rocky Mountain branch of National Farmers Union, Un-ion, discuss present economic conditions in the United States and the part cooperative associations associ-ations can play to better them. Illustrating his discussion with cartoons and drawings. Mr. Soberg So-berg presented a comprehensive resume for the benefit of farmers farm-ers of the area. Other speakers Included Mr. Robbins, representative of the National Farmers Union Service Corp., in Salt Lake City, and Ru-lon Ru-lon Andcrton, president of the lnrnl rnnnrrafiw flQ:nrifltlnn . Noel Hamm, National Farmers Union representative from Denver, Den-ver, Frank Monks, Myton, and Floyd Ross, Arcadia, were in charge of arrangements, which included a banquet and other entertainment in addition to the educational features. |
