Show BLUEBELL Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Murray Mur-ray motored to Tooele on Thursday Thurs-day where they will visit their son, Afton who is on furlough. Afton is serving in the Navy. Mr. and Mrs. Max Gee of Murray Mur-ray arrived here Saturday to visit Mrs. Gee's sister, Mrs. John Thorsen. A Priesthood parly was held Friday evening at the Ward hall. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Leon-ard Goodrich, Bishop . and Mrs. Bernard Winkler, Mr. and Mrs. James Bird, Mr. and Mrs. John Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Seeley, Mr. and Mrs. William Telford, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rowley of Mt. Home, Gardner Goodrich, Evan Goodrich and Douglas Allred. The evening was spent in playing "cootie" after which delicious chicken noodle soup with crackers, punch and apple pie were served. serv-ed. Corporal Rucben Dotson arrived ar-rived here last week to get his wife and small son who have been visiting the past two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Therning. They left Sunday Sun-day for Mr. Dotson's station at Nebraska. Pfc. Douglas Allred arrived here on Friday to spend his furlough fur-lough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Allred. Douglas is in the medical department at Barclay, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hancock received word on Friday that their son, Duane had injured his back very seriously on a rock crusher. Duane is in a hospital at Pay son. Mr. and Mr. James H. Cook went to Salt Lake City last week to attend the wedding of their son, Wiley, who was married mar-ried to Miss Carol Glad of Salt Lake City November 19. A surprise party honoring the birthday adversaries of Mrs. Martha Thorsen and Mrs. Lucille Lu-cille Winkler was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orie Cook. Guests present were Mr, and Mrs. John Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. James Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Max Gee of Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Burdick, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith, Mr. and Mrs. John Thorsen, Bishop and Mrs. Bernard Bern-ard Winkler, Mrs. Elvera Telford, Tel-ford, Mrs. Wallace Seeley, Gardner Gard-ner Goodrich and Mr. and Mrs. Orie Cook. A delicious lunch was served. Mr. and Mrs. Max Gee and Mr. and Mrs. John Thorsen were entertained at delicious chicken dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wathen on Monday. On Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Max Gee and Mr. and Mrs. John Thorsen visited with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kerk-sieck Kerk-sieck of Mt. Emmons. A ward party was given on Thursday evening honoring Pfc. Rulen Goodrich who was home on furlough and Pfc. J. Albert Mathews who was recently given giv-en a medical discharge. A program pro-gram was rendered and remainder remain-der of the evening was spent in dancing. Harold Warren of Salem spent a few days here on business busi-ness this week. Miss Donna Hancock left Saturday Sat-urday for Salt Lake City where she will attend business school. Word comes that Miss Norma Hancock, who has been in California Cal-ifornia with her brother Ray, who is in the Navy, is now working work-ing in a beauty shop in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Seeley and daughter Dorothy Gay of Royal were Saturday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Seeley. akcotAL ness ,Mr.h laefoKRGc Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Goodrich and children LeRae and Brent left Friday for their home in Pocatello, Idaho, after spending the past week here visiting their many friends and relatives, also Arvil's brother, Rulen who was home on furlough Rulen also left on Friday for Washington D, C. where he is stationed. |
