Show R H S ROUGH RIDERS EDGE CEDAR Roosevelt's Rough Riders had to pull leather Friday afternoon before they eked out a 19-18 i win over a never-say-dle squad i from Cedar City in a game which sends them into the six-man six-man finals next week against the Dixie Flyers. The Roughriders had a 19-6 lead at halftime after two passes from Perry to Labrum and a 25-yard 25-yard touchdown jaunt by Perry. Max Horrocks tallied the extra point, which proved to be the margin of victory for the region five champions. Cedar scored its first tally when Urie broke through the line in the initial stanza. The Redmen surged back in the third period with two more markers, one coming on a mar-olhon mar-olhon pass from Milne to Anderson, Ander-son, the other on a line plunge by Woodbury, but their chances for victory went glimmering when both tries for extra points were stymied by the desperate Rough Rider sextette. |
