Her husband came earlier in the fall and bought the McKune saw mill, which they expect to start operating oper-ating this month. Mrs. Harold Fowler was operated op-erated on in a Salt Lake hospital last week. Her husband, mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Del-bert Del-bert Shiner accompanied her. Mrs. Lynn Farnsworth left Sunday to be with her daughter, Deloris, when she was operated on for appendicitis in the L D S hospital in Salt Lake City Monday. Mon-day. The D U P meeting held their regular meeting Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Mary Carroll. The lesson, ".Undertakers Cemetery Cem-etery and Sexton", was given by Class leader Edith Anderson. Next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Lola Jones, December 13. Gifts are to be ex-' changed by the members. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to the following members: Mrs. May R. Glen Burgess has taken the position as operator at the R E A power plant. A party was given in the Ward hall Thursday night for Pfc. Howard Lucas and Pvt. Grant Smith. The evening was spent in dancing. Light refreshments refresh-ments were served. Richard Perkins of Mt. Emmons Em-mons was visiting in town while home on a furlough. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Fowler, son Rex and granddaughter, Sherry Ann were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith Wednesday night in honor of their son, Pvt. Grant Smith. Pvt. Smith reported report-ed back to duty Friday at Fort Douglas for medical care. Mr. and Mrs. John Leslie of Ferron are visiting at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Ed Con-klin. Con-klin. A shower -was given Saturday afternoon in the Ward hall for Mrs. Melvin Christensen, who before her marriage was Miss Vearl Clark. Games were played and refreshments served. Many gifts were received by the bride. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Mohlman left Saturday for a visit with relatives in Logan. The new Primary officers gave a party Thursday for the outgoing officers. Refreshments and dancing were enjoyed by those present. Aldon Carroll went to Salt Lake City Monday with George Rogers for medical care. |
