Show r.lyton City News Section Ladies Aid Ladies Aid was held at the Presbyterian church Thursday. The following were present: Mrs. W. H. Hailwood, Mrs,- S. A. Wills of Vernal, Mrs. R. T. Bonnin of Roosevelt, Mrs. Lou Milner, Mrs. Sarah Gibony, Mrs. W. E. Broome, Mrs. Jennie Potter, Pot-ter, Mrs. Jennie Tuttle, Mrs. W. E. Burton, Mrs. Wm. Koehler, Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. Gladys Harris. Arrangements were being be-ing made to have a bazaar in the near future. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Hailwood. Bridge Club The Bridge club met at the home of Miss Alice Todd Saturday. Satur-day. Those present were Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. Wm. Preece, Mrs. W. E. Kronquist of Ft. Duchesne, Mrs. Lee Cooper, Mrs. Wm. Linck, Mrs. Wm. Koehler. Lunch was served by the hostess. host-ess. Enters Service Calvin Monks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Monks entered the Armed Forces November 7th. He is at Ft. Douglas waiting for his orders. I J. W. Jenson went to Salt Lake City Tuesday. He was accompanied ac-companied home Wednesday by j his daughter and son in law, Mr. I and Mrs. Ed Brake, and his sis-' ter and brother in law, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Grass of Green River, Wyoming. Mrs. Sadie Bywaters and daughter, LaRee came home from Provo Friday. She has beei visiting her sister-in-law Mrs. Owen Payne the past five weeks. Miss Edith Nell Preece went to Las Vegas, Nevada Thursday of last week to visit Mrs. Bonnie Bon-nie Pierce Goodrich, formerly of Roosevelt. Joe Cooper of San Francisco, California went home Saturday. He has been taking care of business busi-ness here. Hal Francin S 2-c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Francin went to Farragut Saturday to receive further orders. New Arrival Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hadden are the proud parents of a baby boy, born November 14th at the Roosevelt hospital. Staff Sergeant and Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Miller and Mrs. R. E. Miller Mil-ler were taking care of business here this week. Eugene is stationed sta-tioned at Kearns. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Fullmer, came home from Seattle, Washington Wash-ington Wednesday. Mr. Fullmer has been at a hospital until he was given an honorable discharge. dis-charge. Mrs. Jay Jenkins, who has been visiting her husband in California, came home Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mrs. Asel Bingham came home Friday from Layton where she has been visiting her husband. hus-band. Willard Pierce of Provo is visiting his sister, Mrs. Dave Tanner this week. District Commander Roland Krebs and District President Grace Dalgleish attended visitation visita-tion meets Saturday at Ferron, Helper, Castlcdale and Hiawatha Hiawa-tha in the interest of the American Ameri-can Legion and Auxiliary. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wing have sold most of their interests here and moving to Ogden. Mr. Wing has employment there. Mrs. Earl Eggleston and son, Paul were here last week taking care of business. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dempsill Hemphill. R. L. Crapo went to Fillmore Tuesday to spend Thanksgiving with his family. Mrs. Donna Roberts and baby of Provo were visiting her mother, Mrs. Lydia Peatross over ov-er the week end. . 1 |
