Show 2GX03XXSXXSXSXXSX3X3X3G4 LAPOINT SX5X5XxSX5XSSXSCsysxSX Mrs. Mildred Nelson and son left Sunday night for Los Angeles, An-geles, California to visit her mother and husband, Lamont Nelson who is stationed in California, Cali-fornia, serving in the armed forces. Mr. and Mrs. Golden Winn spent the week end in Salt Lake City visiting their son, Kay who was stationed in Ft. Douglas. Mrs. Minnie Reynolds received receiv-ed word from her son, Neldon that he was again at Australia. This is his 2nd trip to Australia, and that he had been on the wa-ter wa-ter 37 days then. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Norton and daughter returned to Ogden after af-ter visiting the past 2 weeks with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Berns McKowen at Bennett and Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Norton. Joe is a teacher at the Industrial school there. Mrs. Rhoda Lee received a letter from her son, Seth that he had arrived safely overseas. He has been in service nearly three years and this is his second trip overseas. Mrs. Martin Taylor lett Wednesday Wed-nesday for Bakersville, California. Californ-ia. Mrs. Roxa Tavlor accompan ied her to Salt Lake City to visit relatives there for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Errol Wilson and son and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wilson of South Gate, California were calling on friends here Thursday. Errol was a former resident of Lapoint, but has been in the Coast Guard the past three years. He has just returned return-ed from school in New York, and was on his way to California Californ-ia to visit his folks and relatives there. Kenneth Hartle and family visited in Salt Lake City and in Ogden with Orvel Hullinger and family during the week. Deloy, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lee had his tonsils ton-sils removed last week at Vernal. Vern-al. Sherman Taylor of Meeker, Colorado was a visitor in La-point La-point during the week. He was a former resident of Lapoint. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Abbeg-glen Abbeg-glen arrived home during the week and visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Abbeg-1 Abbeg-1 glen. Lewis has been in the ser- vice over 2 years, being stationed sta-tioned at Ft. Douglas and Oakland, Oak-land, California. He has been released re-leased on account of his health. Glen Allred accompanied his brother Ray Allred to Lapoint on Wednesday. Glen is home on a furlough and visiting his parents par-ents at Gusher. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jenkins of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Jean Workman of Wellington visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins. Rex, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins returned re-turned home with them after attending school at Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Norton and children who have been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Norton returned to Vernal Wednesday. Lamar is home on a furlough and was leaving for Maryland to report back to duty. |
