Show Leeton-Bennett Sgt. Gerold M, Bolton son of' Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Bolton rc-j turned home Friday night on a 30-day furlough after being in Europe for nearly two years. He will report to Idaho to be a guard of the German prisoners. Ray Haslem is home on a 30-day 30-day furlough. He is in the Merchant Mer-chant Marines and has spent the past 6 months in the South Pacific Pac-ific and also was on Siapan. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem of Bennett. Mrs. Fred Hartle returned' home Wednesday night after! spending the past six weeks in Glendale, California with her' two daughters and families; Mr and Mrs. Carl Pope and Carolyn and Deloy and also Mrs. M. E. Bonnie Jean, Cpl Seymore is stationed in the Philippines, where he was stationed December, Decem-ber, 1944. Mr. and Mrs. Pope stopped in Salt Lake City to visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don C. Pope and his brother, who just landed from Germany. Mrs. Merlin Warner and children chil-dren and Miss Ora Hamaker arrived home Sunday , evening from Tooele to visit their mother, moth-er, Mrs. M. E. Hamaker. They also received word their brother, Oren Hamaker has arrived from overseas and will be home soon. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem had as guests. Mrs. Alirp Haslem of Maeser, their mother, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Horrocks and family, Mrs. Gladys Mecham and family of Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brown and family of Vernal, and Mr. and Mrs. John Haslem and family of Bennett. Mrs. Clifford Richardson and two children of Oakland, California, Cali-fornia, sister of Mrs. Otis Horrocks Hor-rocks spent two days this week visiting with her sister and family. The young folks of Bennett enjoyed a weiner roast and swimming party at Montz creek, given by Joice and Marie Haslem. Has-lem. Mrs. Carl Hall visited her daughter, Carol Jean in Salt Lake City last week and reports jsome improvement in her heart. Those attending the soldiers party Monday evening at Ballard from Bennett were: Wayne Joice and Ray Haslem, also Marie and Lynn Haslem, Fred Hartle and two daughters, Vilate and Elna, Velois Long, Byron, Arthur and Sgt.
