Flight Officer Keith G. Case, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case fc jf Mt.Emmons, has been report-in report-in ed missing over India since July 5 1945. He entered the Army Air Corps August 5, 1943, took his aviation cadet training at , Washington State College, Pullman, Wash., and Santa Ana, California, graduated from Navigation Nav-igation school at Hondo. Texas it January 3, 1945, later attending 'J. radar school at Bergstrom Field V. Austin, Texas. He was shipped to - India April 22. 1945, and he was i with the Air Transport Service, t West Pacific. CUMMINGS if Cpl. Sharon L. Cummings, Jjr son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd L. v Cummings of Upalco, entered t the army April 10, 1944; is in the field artillery. He is stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma where he is J taking Radar training. Cpl. Cum-bmingswas Cum-bmingswas born October 24, 1925 at Upalco and was a graduate grad-uate of the Roosevelt high S school. ?j RETURNS FROM OVERSEAS Pfc. Merrill B. Colton who ar--,!rived in the States in August has V'received an Honorable discharge Jfrom the U. S. Army after being jJoverseas since November, 1943, .3 year of which he spent in 'l Germany. Pfc. Forestry Co. on Luzon, son of Mrs. Ella Roberts, writes that he attended church one day in Manila Ma-nila and was very pleased to see Floyd Harmston among those present. Floyd is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Harmston. LOCAL SEAMAN HELPS GUARD VAST AREA Thousands of square miles of the Central Pacific are under the constant watch of the Hawaiian Sea Frontier, a unit of the Fleet assigned to the task of keeping the sea lanes clear of enemy fleet units. One of the men assigned to this command is Blaine Einer-son, Einer-son, radioman second class of Roosevelt, who has been attached attach-ed to the activity for 14 months. He entered the Army in Feb. 1945. His wife, the former Mvrtle Blanch Johnson John-son lives at Myton. RETURNS TO STATES Ens. Joseph II. Mower, 21, USNR, Roosevelt, Utah pilot of a Wildcat fighter Squadron 91, has returned to the States on leave after 33 missions in the Lingayen Gulf and Okinawa campaigns. Ens. Mower is the son of Mrs. Silas Mower of Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. He was inducted in the Navy Air Corp in February, 1943 and on April. 1944, he received re-ceived his commission and wings at Chicago, Illinois. Dr D P. Whitmore and son Captain 'John David Whitmore and granddaughter, Pat left Tuesday to spend a few days visiting in Denver, Colorado. |
