Mr. and Mrs. Earl Osier announce an-nounce the merriage of their daughter, Anna, to Mr. Earl Brewer Brew-er of Mt. Pleasant. A shower was given in their honor at the home of the bride's parents Friday night. They received many lovely gifts from their relatives and friends. A Republican rally was held in the Kozy Theater Saturday night. The speakers were Mr. Pardoe and Mr. Buttle of Prcvo. John Jensen, city chairman, was in charge. A good crowd attended. Miss Matelda Aebescher entertained enter-tained the Bridge club Friday night of last week. Refreshments were served to fourteen members. The Sorosis club was entertained at the home of Mrs. Cleon Anderson Ander-son last Thursday afternoon. She and Mrs. Marvin Anderson were hostesses. The lesson on "Parliamentary "Parli-amentary Law" was given by Mrs. Morgan Lamb. Several business matters were taken up. Refreshments were served to the following: Mesdames Mozart Lar-sen, Lar-sen, Morgan Lamb, Gene Despain, Elmo Irons, C W. Jensen, Blaine Draper, Roy Storey, Lloyd Black- ham, James M. Larsen, Mert Draper, Hannah C. Blackham, and Ophelia Rhodes. Mrs. Urvin Gee was a special guest. Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Draper, Jr. announce the marriage of their son, Grant, to Miss Bertha Pug-mire Pug-mire of Shelley, Idaho. Success to the newly weds. A Democratic rally was held in the Kozy Theater November 7th, with Chairman Soren C. Christensen Christen-sen in charge. Mr. Allen Sanford of Salt Lake City was the principal princi-pal speaker. Funeral services for Frank Draper Drap-er of Ephraim were held Wednes -day afternoon in the West ward chapel with Bishop Ephraim Nelson Nel-son in charge. The prayers were offered by Patriarch Orlando Bradley and Bishop Thompson of Ephraim. The choir san"Beauti-ful san"Beauti-ful Isle" and "Praise God From Whom all Blessings Flow." The speakers were Lee Taylor of Freedom, Free-dom, Bishop Dorius of Ephraim and Bishop Nelson. Mrs. Lawrence Larsen sang "I Have Read of a Beautiful City" and Mrs. Ernest Anderson and Mrs. Lawrence Larsen Lar-sen sang a duet, "Jesus Lover of my Soul." Frank Draper was bora in Moroni Mo-roni September 14, 1969. He married mar-ried Mrs. Eleanor Cloward Draper in 1885. She passed away September Septem-ber 5, 1928. He was a former resident resi-dent of Moroni and was a prominent prom-inent farmer and cattle raiser. He moved to Ephraim several years ago and has been a resident there ever since. He is survivd by seven children: Sherdan, Mendcn, Edmun and Manly Draper of Ephraim; Parley Draper of Wales; Lurman Draper of Provo and Mrs. Andy Rasmus -sen of Chester; eight brothers and sisters, Mrs. Hyrum Blackham, Jr., Freed and Parley Draper of Moroni; Mo-roni; Mrs. James Johansen and j Mrs. Orr Simons of Mt. Pleasant; Archie Draper of Ephraim; Ray ' Draper of Freemont and Homer Draper of Fairview; also 21 grand- I children. The Parent-Teachers' association held a meeting in the East ward chapel Wednesday evening. Mrs. Alligee L. Anderson was in charge. The Moroni high school band played three selections. Supt. A. E. Jones of the North Sanpete school district was the principle speaker. Ernest R. Anderson, school board trustee, gave a short talk. Miss Vivian Vi-vian Anderson gave a reading and the Misses Sadie Little and Gwen Blackham gave a duet. Night prowlers were in Moroni Wednesday night. The glass was broken out of the front door in the Co-op store and when the nignt watchman yelled at them they left on their knees. They broke me locks on three gas tanks at the Blackham service station and took 25 gallons of gas. No trace of the burglars have been found yet. |
