Show Asa Coates Dies In Salt Lake Hospital Asa Coates, 65, local rancher and livestock man, died in a Salt Lake hospital Saturday evening after a lingering illness. He was born here September 2, 1867. a son of George and Emily Coates. He was weU known as a farmer throughout this county and for several years operated an implement im-plement store here. He married Hilda Larsen in Salt Lake February Febru-ary 8, 1893. Surviving are six sons and two daughters: George A., Nels, LeRoy, Grant, Asael and Lavern Coates and Mrs. Ruth Coates Allred, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. lone Coates Shan-on, Shan-on, PortersviUe, California, and tlx grandchildren. Services for Mr. Coates were held from the South ward chapel Wednesday at 2 p. m., with Bishop A. L. Peterson in charge. Music was by the choir, mixed quartet, Mr. and Mrs. George Squire, Mrs. Keith Allred and Bishop Peterson; solo, Mrs. Pearl Peterson. Prayers were by C. Johansen and C. W. Sorenson. The speakers were L. P. Nelson, President H. C. Jacobs, Joseph Johansen, and Bishop Peterson. Interment was In Mt. Pleasant cemetery. ; ! |
