Flounces have come back Into fashion, as is evidenced by the dainty1 dancing gowns for wear at Palm Beach, and by quite as dainty day costumes cos-tumes of embroidery and sheer materials. Flounces the modern flounces, at least are not gathered at the upper edge in the least, but are applied flatly to the narrow skirt so that the narrow silhouette is not spoiled. Many of the most charming frocks for the southland show very sheer machine embroidered flouncings used in this way and the illustration herewith pictures gold embroidered chiffon used in the same fashion, one flounce falling above the other in three tiers.
