Show Mr.andfe Jas.ftasen Celebrate Silver Wedding Mr. and Mrs. James Monsen celebrated cele-brated the 25th anniversary of their wedding by giving a dance and reception re-ception at the Armory Hall last Saturday Sat-urday the 25th. Their were about two hundred of their near relatives and friends who were present. A splendid collection of silverware was received by the host and hostess, host-ess, from their many friends. Mr. Monsen has taken a very active part in the civil affairs of the commonwealth. He was born in this city April 21, 1867. His early boy hood was sp?nt in herding cows, later he assisted hi3 father, on the farm. He first six years of his married mar-ried life he was engaged in caring for sheep in the mountains and the desert, and also farming. He preformed pre-formed a mission for his church in Scandinavia. He was elected a councilman in 1889. In 1904 was elected mayor of this city acted ;in that capacity for two terms. He is also a member of the South Ward Bishopric. In 1912 he was elected a representative of the House in the State Legislature.
