Show 20th Century Club ' Holds Special feting : The 20th Century Club held a milling mill-ing at Wasutch Ac;. demy Inst Tuesday Tues-day evening. The oecassion w as to hem-a lectine on 0:d Mexico by Mr. F. C. Jensen, who is so familiar with that part ot the count! y. The club has been studying tnis subject and they called upon Mr. Jensen to give the lecture. The room whs beautifully beauti-fully decorated in Mexican bankets and curios which Mr. Jensen h; d brought from Mexico. Mexican music was rendered by Miss Whittelsey and Miss Wright accompanied ac-companied by Miss Winnif red Jensen , Mr. Jensen delivered his lecture, which he had carefully prepared for the oecassion, in a most interesting manner. He is personally acquainted acquaint-ed with the Mexican people and so many things of interest in that country coun-try that he held his appreciative and attentive audience spellbound during the course of the lecture. Many interesting in-teresting things, which will long be ' remembered in the minds of those who were fortunate enough to hear them, were revealed by Mr. Jensen. After the lecture Mrs. Jensen served ser-ved the guests with Mexican coffee ai..d refreshments. The Misses Win-nifred Win-nifred and Carrol Jensen assisting the r mother. Many requests have been m-.de to have the lecture publith d, but as it took Mr. Jensen nearly an hour to deliver it, we are afraid it would fill the whole Pyramid or nearly so. It is most interesting and consists of very valuable information! |
