Show ORDINANCE NO. 75-7 BOUNTIFUL, a Municipal Corporation AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AMEND-ING TITLE X, CHAPTER 18, OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OR-DINANCES OF BOUNTIFUL, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION SEC-TION DESIGNATED AS SECTION SEC-TION 36, PROHIBITING INTERFERENCE IN-TERFERENCE WITH A PUBLIC SERVANT IN DISCHARGE OF HIS OFFICIAL OF-FICIAL FUNCTION AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF AND REPEALING ORDINANCES OR-DINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BOUNTIFUL, BOUN-TIFUL, UTAH; Section 1. That Title X, Chapter 18, of the Revised Ordinances Or-dinances of Bountiful, Utah, 1965, as amended, is hereby amended by adding a new section sec-tion designated as Section 36, which shall read as follows: Section 36, INTERFERING WITH A PUBLIC SERVANT SER-VANT (1) A person is guilty of interfering inter-fering with a public servant if he uses force, violence, intimidation or engages in any other unlawful act with the purpose to interfere with a public servant per-forn per-forn in;; or purporting to pe - air-1 an official func-tio func-tio l. (2) Interference with a public servant is a Class B misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine not exceeding ex-ceeding $299.00 or improsonment in the city or county jail not exceeding 6 months or by both fine and punishment. Section 2. Conflict. All or dinances, resolutions, and orders or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are, to the extent ex-tent of such conflict, hereby repealed provided that such repeal shall not effect any act done or right accrued, and penalty incurred, any suit, prosecution or proceeding pending. Section 3. This Ordinance To Take Effect Upon First Publication. In the opinion of the City Council, it is necessary to tne peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Bountiful, that this ordinance take effect immediately. im-mediately.
