Show Golden Years t Events The Ballroom Dance at the Golden Years Center will be Saturday, May 17 at 8:30 p.m. with Ken Williams and his orchestra, music furnished by Ron Barlow and his quartette "Those Guys" so come have a fun evening. STANLEY ELMER of the Utah Forest Service will present a travelogue on the primitive areas of Utah on Monday, May 19 at 3:30 p.m., to which everyone is invited. His slides will show outstanding outstand-ing scenery of Utah, an unusual program from nature. na-ture. There are tickets still available for the three stage productions at the Lagoon Opera House, the first one, "Bye, Bye, Birdie" on Tuesday, Tues-day, May 27. PRECEDING the performance, perfor-mance, those who wish to join a dinner party should make reservations at the center, dinner to be held at the Oakridge Country Club at 5 p.m. Call 295-3479 or stop in at the center for tickets. If you plan to attend the Shakespearean Festival at Cedar City, July 16-19, make reservations immediately which include bus, meals and lodging at Juniper Hall in Cedar City. THERE IS always something educational and interesting going on at the Golden Years Center. Classes are continuing during the summer in many of the activities, ac-tivities, so check in and if you are not already attending some of the interesting classes, plan to take part in these Senior Citizen affairs. The center is located in the lower floor of the Bountiful Library, 725 South Main Street, with entrance on the north, parking on the east side of the library. If you are new in South Davis County and eligible to attend, come in and visit this busy center. THE CENTER will be closed May 26 for Memorial Day. kj |
