Show Stdo r.:::t About fifteen members of Bountiful PEO Chapter W, attended the 40th annual convention con-vention of the Utah State PEO at the Salt Lake Hilton on May 9 and 10. THE THEME was "PEO Embraces the World Through International Peace Scholarships." Mrs. Jack Keller of Logan, state president, presided and the featured speaker was Mrs. Marie Busch, Williamsville, N.Y. The organization owns and operates Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri, a two year school for women. PEO INTERNATIONAL peace scholarships have provided advanced academic study to 1,205 women from 84 countries. A requirement for the scholarship is that recipients must promise to return immediately to their homelands and share their skills and experiences. Scholarships for 1974-75 awards were given to 124 students from 43 countries. Mrs. Ruth Kilfoyle of Price was elected president for 1975-76. BOUNTIFUL Chapter W issued is-sued an invitation to the state organization to host the 1976 state convention in May. Mrs. Connie Dennis, a member of the Bountiful Chapter was honored as a 50 year member having joined in Nevada. MORE THAN 400 members and delegates attended the state convention.
