They were honorable mentions in the Brownie section drawing contest. con-test. JULIE ANN Harris, age 8, Susan Wilde, age 7, and Kelli Brophy, age 8, all from Brownie Troop 693 from Centerville Cen-terville were honored at a tea held at the Salt Lake Girl Scout Council May 7. Their mother, Mrs. Paul Brophy, Mrs. Dean Harris, Mrs. Veldon Wilde, and Three Brownies from Centerville were winners in a recent art and literature contest, held by the Salt Lake Branch of the National League of American Pen Women. They were honorable mentions in the Brownie section of the drawing contest. Presenting $5 to the three young ladies was Gloria Akurzynski, left, and author and member of the sponsoring group. The girls group are, 1 to r, Kelli Brophy, 8; Julie Harris, 8, and Susan Wilde, 7. Their mothers, Mrs. Paul Brophy, Mrs. Dena Harris and Mrs. Veldon Wilde, along with leaders, Mrs. Lyle Heifer and Mrs. Harris, were present when the money was given.
