Show By KATHRYN JENNINGS 867-2027 A new family is welcomed to Farmington this week. Casey and Marion Work and children Janet and Kent, have moved into the home at 37 South 200 East, coming here from California. Janet is employed and Kent has been attending Davis High School. Mr. Work was transferred by his company, Fiat Allis Construction Equipment, in Salt Lake City. The family enjoy living in this area. Bruce Lloyd, son of Grant and Mary Lou Lloyd has returned re-turned from a two year mission mis-sion in the England Leeds area. He spoke in the Farmington Far-mington Seventh Ward services ser-vices on Sunday evening. His plans are to attend BYU in the fall. Rex Rigby is at home recuperating from major surgery recently and is progressing very well. Beth Payne has been staying stay-ing with a daughter and family, Blaine and Sandy Ba-teman Ba-teman at Camp Pendleton, Calif, for several weeks. The Bateman family have a new baby, a son which is their fourth child, so Sandy's mother has been assisting. Dr. Bateman is a dentist serving with the U.S. Navy. Duane Kimber, son of F.R. . and Lu Rae Kimber, has re- ' turned from Argentina where he served a two year mission for his church. He will speak in the Farmington Sixth Ward on June 8 and plans to attend Utah State University in the fall. The George and Mary Leonard family reunion was held at the home of Deon and Carolyn Stuart in Bountiful, on Memorial Day. Charles C. Cluff, son of Charles and Anna Cluff has returned from Brazil where he filled a two year mission. Mrs. Jennie Lee, has been a guest of the W.A. Burnham family, she is the mother of Lois and makes her home in Burley, Ida. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Campbell and four year old twin sons, Matt and David of Moscow, Ida., have been guests of Allen and Jeri Bur-well. Bur-well. The visitors were returning re-turning from a motor trip to California. W.O. Robinson has been a houseguest of L.W. and Jan-netta Jan-netta Robinson. The Hiram D. Clark family reunion will be held on Saturday, Sa-turday, May 31 at the Farmington Far-mington City Park, beginning at 3 p.m. Guests will bring picnic lunches for their own families with the serving at 5 p.m., drinks and dessert will be furnished. Mrs. Zula Clark Harris of Walnut Creek, Calif, will be honored guest this year. Mrs. Thelma Clark Teudt of Monterey, Calif, has arrived early and has been a guest, visiting with relatives in the area. Her sisters with whom she has visited are Mary C. Bennion and Blanche C. Wilcox, Wil-cox, Farmington; Rhoda C. Smith in Bountiful ; and Edna C. Ericksen, Salt Lake City. The Aurelia S. Rogers Camp of DUP will have a final spring event on Monday, June 2. Members will travel to the Homestead in Heber Valley and spend the day in that community for an all-day outing. Gladys Kennard will serve as captain for the 1975-76 year, Jannetta Robinson is retiring captain. Dorothy Poulk of the Lady Lions is congratulated for her efforts to make the Farming-ton Farming-ton Park Gardens, a place of beauty this season. Her husband John and several other garden minded people have assisted in digging dig-ging out old bushes and dead roots, weeds and grass which has been neglected for several years. Several Girl Scouts and leaders and other teenagers have also assisted with the clean-up. Doug Wood and Cari Egbert were married on May 27 in the Salt Lake Temple. A wedding wed-ding breakfast at the Lion House was attended by a large number of the relatives of Doug Wood, from Farmington. Far-mington. Robert and Claire Field, 322 East Paulette Way are parents of their sixth child, a boy born May 20 in a Bountiful Boun-tiful hospital. The babe weighed 7 lb. 9 oz. and will be named Craig Edmund, Ed-mund, brothers and sisters are Scott, Brady, Julie, Stacey and Kelley. The paternal grandmother is Leonore Field of Provo and this is her 11th grandchild. Maternal grandparents, Me. ' and Mrs. Edgar Drake are presently serving a mission for the LDS Church in Bun-bury, Bun-bury, Australia and this is their 29th grandchild. The Field family moved here recently from Los Angeles An-geles and are very happy in this area. Mr. Field is a sales manager of the Miller Floral. Fred and Lynn Schroader and nine children have moved from 216 East State to a new home in Rexburg, Ida. Joel A. and Maurine Parrish, daughters Lori and Jolene and Brent and Eileen Tippetts spent a great holiday at Lake Powell. Noel and Pam Barton and two sons spent the recent holidays with relatives in Richfield. Noel's mother, Lillian Barton returned with the family for a visit. Leonard and Alice Eldridge spent the past weekend in Idaho, having a busy few days. They visited with Alice's sister, Arvilla Andersen Ander-sen in Moore. |
