' 'Mils a 3rd grader at m '-gton Elementary in Heidi Mueller, David Slade and Denise Jensen were winners in the PTA's recent Reflections Project. Bountiful. She is the daughter . of Mr. and Mrs. Juergen K. Mueller. Her entry was in music. DAVID IS a 9th grade student at Millcreek Junior High, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger W. Slade. David submitted an entry in : the field of Literature. Denise Jensen also a 3rd grade student at Washington Elementary was one of 40 students awarded certificates of Honorable Mention from Utah Congress of PTA. Her entry was in Literature. She is the daughter of Mr. and 5 Mrs. Clyde M. Jensen. THIS YEAR 8,729 students in the State of Utah participated par-ticipated in this Cultural Arts Reflections Project in the fields of art, music, and literature. The objectives have been to encourage children and youth to view their world realistically, and to express their beliefs and portray their emotions in a tangible way. PTA feels it is important to give recognition to creative students as a means of encouraging en-couraging them in the field of cultural arts. This project helps build better self-esteem in recognizing the ability of our you h. |
