Mr. Drake has carried 16 hours each quarter and has completed his college accomplishments ac-complishments in a two year period, in addition to his 40 hour week with the FAA. Sympathy is extended at this time to the family of Orlan R. Williams. Mr. Williams passed away May 9 at a Bountiful nursing home following a lingering illness. He was a retired mechanic and service manager for Ford Motor Company. Mr. Williams and his wife Gertrude, (who preceded him in death by two months) made their home in Cahoon Acres. Services and burial were conducted at the Salt Lake Cemetery, May 13. New residents in the area are Julie and Alan Webb, and son Ryan. They have purchased the home of Mrs. Joan Park on 800 West, and will begin moving on June 1. They have been residing at the Wood Haven Mobile Home Park. Julie is the daughter of Al and Dottie Johansen. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Rosenlund and two sons enjoyed en-joyed a brief vacation in the Grand Tetons this past weekend. The Scouts from Troop 110 had an enjoyable three day venture this past weekend. Leaving on Friday were four truck loads of young men, who traveled to Wendover, then south on the desert for great experiences in camping, camp-ing, cooking and fun in general. Accompanying the young men were Scoutmaster Mike Goodsell, Glen Mikkeleson, Bob Matheson and Adrian Overton. Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sun-beck. Sun-beck. Their daughter Lyn Dee, passed away following an extended illness. Services were conducted on Friday in the South Bountiful Third Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Bountiful Memorial Park. A public hearing for the purpose of reviewing the proposed budget for the fiscal year 1975-76 will be held June 17 at 8 p.m. in conjunction with the regular council meeting. At the last council meeting, the proposed budget was reviewed and the decision to drop the mill levy by two mills was approved and will be adopted at the hospital hearing. The mill levy for Woods Cross City will be 11 mills. Tyler Steinbach, has been hurling outstanding baseball games for Viewmont as the final stages of the State Tournament Tour-nament arrive. Many fans from the area have been at the Murray Park for this outstanding out-standing tournament. Tyler is the son of A. R. and Lois Steinbach. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Grow of Reno, Nev. were in the area this past week to attend funeral services for granddaughter, grand-daughter, Lyn Dee Sundeck. They stayed at the Calvin Ballard home during their brief visit, and also spent time with their other family members before returning to their home on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Pack and children returned home on Monday after enjoying a week's vacation which took them to Las Vegas and a visit with relatives, then onto Southern Calif, where they enjoyed Qisneyland, San Diego, and a tour of Tijuana. Casey Mattes, son of Richard and Bea Mattes, underwent un-derwent major surgery on Tuesday at Bountiful Medical Center. Casey is just one month old, and is progressing very rapidly and should be home by the weekend. |
