Show Fronts in Seeds Says U. A. C. Agronomist A number of reliable farmers in Utah cculd very profitably raise vegetable and pasture grass seeds according to Professor J. c. Hogen-son, Hogen-son, agronomist of the Utah extension ex-tension service. Vegetable seed is easily grown, where the season is long enougn' but it is difficult to keep it pure and of high productive value, Profess,-r Hogenson points out. Judging Judg-ing from the price paid for good seed, however, it would pay enterprising enter-prising farmers who are prop-rly situated, to investigate this potential poten-tial cash crop. The growing of pasture grass seed is an industry which can and should be encouraged in some parts of the state. Grass seed is as easily grown and handled as alfalfa or clover seed, and prics6 are usually I good for clean, pure, viable seed. Further information on this subject sub-ject will be gladly furnished by a county agent or by Professor Hogenson Hog-enson at the state extension office at Logan. |
