Show School District Has New Director Of Maintenance Orvil Davis was appointed Director Direc-tor of Maintenance and Operations of Alpine School District at the monthly meeting of the Boari of Education held on Monday, Oct. 15 according to an announcement made by Supt. Alma P. Burton. Mr. Davis replaces Frank R. Jex, who has accepted employment in Spokane, Spo-kane, Washington. Mr. Davis is a native of Utah County and lives with his wife, Maxine, and five children in Edge-mont. Edge-mont. He has been an employee of Alpine School District for the past twelve years, acting as bus driver and recently as Supervisor of Maintenance. Because of the completion of new building construction in the district, it will not be necessary to continue the position of Supervisor Super-visor of Maintenance, according to Supt. Burton. New Buildings in the district will be dedicated in the near future fu-ture the Windsor Elementary in Orem on November 7; Central School in Pleasant Grove on Nov. 9; Sego Lily School in Lehi on Nov. 14; Orem High School on Nov. 16; and Greenwood School in American Fork on Dec. 7. Plans for new high schools in Pleasant Grove and American Fork are now complete and plans for a new high school in Lehi can progress pro-gress now that the decision on the site is final, said Supt. Burton. |
