Show Dairy Princess Here Monday to Plug Cheese Festival Shirley Chugg. Utah's 1957 Dairy Princess, paid an official visit to the Pleasant Grove business section sec-tion at 10 a.m. Monday morning. With her, acting in the role of attendants at-tendants were Connie Burgon, Salt Lake City Dairy Princess and Merris Hendricks, Dairy Princess of Cache Valley, Utah. The girls were on a previously scheduled tour of Utah cities, as a feature of the third annual Utah Cheese Festival. Fes-tival. While in Pleasant Grove, the girls presented gift samples of Utah's Swiss and Cheddar cheese to Mayor Edwai'd: C. Roberts and publisher A. B. Gibson. The Cheese Festival tour is an expression of goodwill from Utah's dairy industry and shows confidence confi-dence in the superior quality of its own manufactured products' "Utah Swiss cheese has been well received receiv-ed in American markets from Maine to California," said Calvin L. Nelson, Salt Lake City, chairman chair-man of the Utah Cheese Festival committee. Participating in the state-wide tour were Mr. Nelson; Welby W. Young, president of the American Dairy Association of Utah; A. J. Morris, managing director of the ADA of Utah and Wallace A. Par-rish, Par-rish, chairman of the Utah Dairy Princess contest. |
