Show DUP Meets on Friday with Mrs. Macfarlane Camp Pleasant Grove, D.U.P. elected new officers at their meeting meet-ing held Friday May 20 with Mrs. Nora F. Macfarlane at her home. Priscilla S. Christiansen was elected elect-ed captain with Alice S. Dever-eax Dever-eax first vice captain and Nora Macfarlane 2nd vice captain. Minnie Min-nie Hall was sustained as secretary secre-tary as was Emma W. Overlade historian and M. Charlotte F. Carlson cheerleader. Released with a vote'of appreciation apprec-iation were Doris H. Rogers, captain; cap-tain; Edna H. Newman, 1st vice captain; andl Priscilla S. Chris-tianson, Chris-tianson, 2nd vice captain. Other new officers will be appointed ap-pointed later. The Story of the Mormon Ba-tallion Ba-tallion was related by Capt Doris Rogers and a pioneer history was read by Florence C. Walker. Invited guests were North Utah County Captain Hannah Aydlotte, and North Utah County historian Mabel Jones, both cf American Fork; and Pearl R. Deveraux, Bertha S. Deveraux of Pleasant Grove and Elizabeth Fillmore of Salt Lake City. There were eight officers and 12 other members present. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Macfarlane and Mrs. M. Charlotte Carlson. |
