Show 3 Utah Livestock Leaders Chosen To Receive Awards Three prominent Utah livestock leaders have been chosen as officials offi-cials of the Infcermountain Junior Fat Stock Show to receive the coveted honorary Master Stockman Stock-man award at the annual show, June 1-2 a North Salt Lake Union Stockyards. They are: Alden K. Barton, chairman of Utah Agricultural Commission; J. A. Scorup, prominent prom-inent stockman from Grand and San Juan Counties; and L. E. Ellison, Elli-son, .veil konwn banker from I Layton. : This honor is normally reserved for the junior showman whose fat beef, lambs and hogs place in the purple ribbon bracket of the annual an-nual show. In addition to the honorary Master Stockman award, one of the trio, Mr. Scoinp, will be further fur-ther honored when Swift and Company, in conjunction with the Utah Cattle and Horse Growers Association, presents the annual "Stockman of the Year" award for Utah to the prominent livestock live-stock leader. Merrill Parkin, manager of the show, reports that preparations for the annual event are neaiing completion. Mr. Parkin points out to junior showman, FFA chapter advisors and 4-H leaders that entries ent-ries closed May 24. |
