Show Veterans Asked to Join American Legion Post i in PG Unless you are an honorably discharged dis-charged Veteran of World War I, World War II or the Korean Conflict. Con-flict. If you are, and desire to serve God and your fellow men, your membership in Pleasant Grove American Legion Post 70,, is sincerely sin-cerely solicited. Through our organization we offer you an opportunity to: 1. Assist in securing legislation for the benefit of the Veteran, his widow and his children. 2. Maintain the efficiency and the availability of the Veterans Hospitals. 3. Sponsor training in leadership leader-ship and citizenship for American Ameri-can youth through Boys State and Nation. 4. Arouse interest in a knowledge knowl-edge of the Constitution of the United States through high school oratorical contests. 5. Combat juvenile delinquency by means of .the American Legion Junior baseball program. 6. Thwart the inroads of the Communist Party, which seeks to overthrow our 'government by force and violence. 7. Assist in the annual Memorial Memor-ial Day services and in paying honor hon-or to our Veteran dead. 8. Associate with fellow Veterans Veter-ans in a program of social goodwill. good-will. All of these opportunities are yours for the small membership fee of $5.50, and your willingness to affiliate with three million other oth-er organized veterans.
