ESN Second Graders from Grtwecrest School visited the Pleasant Grove Fire Station last week. They were accompanied by Mrs. Vera Wag-staff. Wag-staff. As ia further "civic activity" Police Chief Glen Newman spoke Wednesday to the combined Second Sec-ond Grades. His subject was the "Work of a City Police Officer." ESN, The Groveorest Third Graders are busy preparing a Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing program by means of which they hope to entertain their parents par-ents early in November. ESN Mrs. Clara Hicken, Provo, Third Grade Teacher at Central School, is still absent from her room on account of an accident suffered while riding in the family car on Sunday, October 20. ESN An Audio-Visual Conference for teachers of Elementary Schools is being held on Friday, November 1. Morning sessions will be devoted to Educational Television and the afternoon sessions will consider Audio-Visual Aids. Miss Dorothy Stevens will represent Central School at the conclave. ESN An impromptu birthday party was enjoyed at Central School at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Ora Thome, Ella Jackson and Dorothy Bearnson, who had birthdays since the opening of school, entertained the other teachers informally. |
