Show Topping of Frost Ends Weather Week on Monday The local weather menu for the week ending September 28 was almost a repeat of the week previous, with a topping of frost thrown in for good measure. Clouds continued to hover over the Central Utah area and light rain fell practically every day. When added up, the total for the week was almost three-quarters of an inch. Despite the unusually arid summer, sum-mer, total precipitation for 1959 to date now stands a little over 12 and one-half inches, which is at least normal for this time of year. Jack Frost made his first call to the Pleasant Grove area sometime some-time during the early hours of -Monday, Sept. 28. He stayed only a few minutes, just long enough to leave his calling card and nip the ends of the tomato vines. He'll be back soon, however. Manager Wesley Jense of the local oanning plant reported that damage to tomato plants in Utah and Salt Lake Valleys was slight. It was partly cloudy when this report was written at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning with considerable consider-able blue sky showing. However the same pattern of clouds and light rain was expected to continue con-tinue for the next few days. Statistics for the we:k ending September 28, 1959. Date High Low Pre.
