Show Bell Telephone Hour to Open Season with Show The Bell Telephone Hour will open its second season on television tele-vision with a star-studded musical musi-cal program. It will be telecast tele-cast here on Friday, October 9, at 8:00 p.m. over station KTVT. Channel 4. Alfred Drake and Sally Ann Howes, popular stars of the musical mu-sical stage, will make their TV debut as a duet on the program. Another debut will be that of the internationally famous violinist, Zino Francesoatti. Bed Nichols and his Five Pennies Pen-nies with Connee Boswell, will play and sing a selection of jazz favorites. The Kingston Trio, featuring fea-turing three young folk singers, will also appear. The Ballet Russa de Monte Carlo will present a special version ver-sion of "Gaite Parisienne." Donald Don-ald Voorhees and the Bell Telephone Tele-phone Orchestra will provide the accompaniments for the ballet and soloists. During the 1959-60 TV season the Bell Telephone System will present twelve Bell Telephone Hour programs. In addition they are planning three Science Series programs. |
